Meet Antonisha Baker, Esq.
Antonisha Baker, J.D. is Of Counsel at The Law Office of Dayna Thomas, LLC. She focuses on the business, intellectual property, and entertainment practice areas. Her niche practice areas of interest are trademark and fashion law. She believes if your passion isn’t in your profession, then you’re in the wrong profession. Antonisha’s objective is to assist the clients of The Law Office of Dayna Thomas, LLC develop their passion within a secure business and legal foundation.
Antonisha earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Management from the University of South Florida’s (USF) Muma College of Business in 2014, where she graduated magna cum laude within two years. Certified in transactional law, Antonisha graduated with her Juris Doctorate from Emory University School of Law’s Centennial 2017 class. While at Emory, Antonisha found a love and passion for sports and entertainment law through her participation and leadership as the 2016-17 President of the Sports and Entertainment Law Society.
Antonisha was introduced to the practice of law through her internship at Register|Lett LLP for a year and a half. She focused on copyright law and small business defense litigation. Blossoming from an intern to a law clerk, Antonisha has been an integral member of The Law Office Dayna Thomas, LLC team since May 2016. She has experience in assisting Attorney Thomas file federal copyright and trademark applications, forming business entities, drafting various entertainment and intellectual property agreements, and serves as a writer and the Editor in Chief for the firm’s blog on entertainment and entrepreneurship law, “Entertaineur, Esq.”
While at The Law Office of Dayna Thomas, LLC, Antonisha was also an undergraduate Business Communications Course Facilitator for Emory University’s Goizueta Business School for the 2016-17 school term. As a course facilitator, she instructed first year business students on the essentials of building their professional brand and provided consulting tools to the students for presentations to major organizations such as Coca Cola and Ernst and Young.
As a Florida native, Antonisha gives back to the community by mentoring high school students as a semi-annual guest speaker at her alma mater Robert E. Lee Senior High in Jacksonville, Florida. Her mentorship has expanded to college students in Florida and Georgia. She also enjoys musical theater and spent her early childhood studying acting and the performing arts. “To be successful in any capacity of entertainment law, you must understand and relate to the business and artistry of entertainment.” This statement is Antonisha’s motto as she launches her career in entertainment and entrepreneurship law.
