3 Things You Can Do In 10 Minutes To Build Your Business Brand

When starting a business, building a strong, consistent brand is essential to being successful. Here are 3 things that you can do in 10 minutes to help build your brand.

Update your bios for your personal social media pages.

No matter what you may think, your personal brand is not separate from your business brand. People are looking at you to determine whether your business is credible and trustworthy. Even if you have separate social media pages, people looking for your business page are likely to come across one of your personal pages. You want to make sure that potential customers/clients find the same brand that your business is (trying to be) known for. That means, deliver the same message. Understand that the same message does not mean the same exact content; it only means that the content that you share on both pages should contribute to the reputation that you are trying to build for your business.

RSVP for (free) events on that will have potential customers/clients in attendance.

Eventbrite is a great resource to find local events in your industry. Many of them are free. Enter your city and a keyword to search for events that are likely to have your ideal customers/clients in attendance. RSVP for those events and go! Have a goal of meeting a certain number of potential clients. Don't forget to follow up.

Order a business card.

Seems basic, but many entrepreneurs or aspiring entrepreneurs don't have one. is a great resource for low-cost business cards - starting at $10.00. Be sure to include the name of your business, your name, email and phone number, and the service you are offering, at minimum. If you don't have a business yet, no problem - still get a card! It should include your name, your contact information, and your industry. You can even include your LinkedIn profile link or your social media handles. When you are able to invest more, plan to upgrade your card to make it even more memorable.

Ok, set the timer for 10 GO!
